Yuletide Insanity

January 5th, 2005

On the morn before Christmas,
In the family room,
my father said to me,
“Jeremy, when you’re older,
and you can’t stand me,
I hope you’ll think back to this morn,
on which you still hugged me,”
and to this I replied (quite jokingly),
“Yes, I will, and I shall think,
I was so naive then!”

Stuff

First, Aunt Wendie did not have an egg burger while she was here. She almost did, but then decided not to. Last night my dad and I went to see a movie called Hero. It was a great movie and is one of my top 5 favorite movies list. It was set in ancient China before the Great Wall was built. Three assassins were going to murder the emperor. One of them approached the emperor and at the last minute refused to do something. I won’t give away the ending. In case you were wondering, my revised movies list:
5. The Hiding Place
4. LOTR: The Fellowship of the Ring
3. Hero
2. LOTR: The Two Towers
1. LOTR: The Return of the King
Well there you have it.

November 9th, 2004

Yes, I now have blogged for the first time in a while. It’s great having Aunt Wendie here, we play lots of board games and just hang out. My birthday was a week a two days ago and that was another good thing to happen. School is going well and we get our report cards this week. So that ends the first quarter. We have off on Thursday and Friday. Perfect! So, that’s all i have to say.

School started tuesday

September 10th, 2004

So it started tuesday. My first class was English. (this is a “day1″) Then i have art, whew. Then, everyday, i have French 1. Lunch, then science. I have a 40 minute study hall at the end of the day. Then on a “day2″ i have US History first, then i have PE, of course french everyday, lunch. Next i have Algebra 1 and then study hall again. Thats my schedule. It’s been pretty good so far. I like all my teachers, no dislikes. French is really cool. (i get H.S. credit for it) I can say a few phrases as the teacher speaks about 2 english words out of all the time he speaks. I like english, the teacher is really fun. Same for my science teacher. Algebra is a little hard, i hope it gets easier.

Two Weeks In And Feeling Fine

September 6th, 2004

I feel like a bajillion bucks right now (and yes, I know that’s not a number). And that is because I have joined cross country. I first went to the practice because a few of my friends at school said that they had a lot of fun last year. I decided to see what it was all about. The first practice, I ran two miles in 27:48 and was completely winded. The second time, I did 28:06. I felt like I was gonna die, or quit. But then I read my mom’s entry about my running. And the next time we did a time trial, I ran a 22:34! It was awesome! That was my first experience of runner’s high: I felt like I could run forever even though my legs were falling off and my feet were on fire (at least it felt that way).

I still have 2 weeks left!

August 24th, 2004

Summer has just 2 weeks to go. School starts 2 weeks from today, the 7th. That’s the day I’ve been dreading the day summer started. But it’s not so dreadful now. I, and I can’t believe I’m saying this, almost can’t wait for it to start. I want to play soccer this year, so I’m excited about that in the spring. I’ll also get to see all my friends again. These 2 weeks will be the best ever!

Catching up on some things

August 24th, 2004

Ok, to start with Friday the 13th. That day I just hung around the house and that night my friend slept over at my house. They left around 11:00 am Saturday. Then Sunday went to church and pretty much wasted the rest of that day. MONDAY I needed to just relax and go nowhere, so that’s exactly what I did. Also the Olympics started and US medal count I think is over 60. Also around that time was new neighbors who moved in about a week before. Tuesday played with my friend Daniel (you may recall him from earlier) On Wednesday, I started bowling camp and learned some new techniques. It went until Friday with a whole bunch of free games, which we played over 50. I played with Daniel in the afternoons of those days (camp was 9-12) and that took all of my day up. Saturday I had to do nothing, seeing the rest of the family had to do something that day. Sunday I went to church and then did whatever the rest of the day. Yesterday I twisted my foot really bad and can barely walk on it. Took care of 2 babies with my mom and sister for an hour. And what to do today is just unknown. Whew. Well I pretty much got you all caught up on what I’ve been doing.
