What’s been going on

Monday, July 26th, 2004

Holly got back from space camp 2 weeks and a day ago and we’ve been doing nothing since then. I read a good book called “House of the Scorpion.” It’s a book for young adults, you know, my age…
My cat has been acting ‘normal,’ although normal for her is weird. The weather has been rainy for the past few days, quite gloomy. I blogged. It’s been a little bit since I have. Remember my first blog, “Why.”

The Week in the Azores

Monday, July 12th, 2004

Jeremy: Well, we went to a bull taunt (not a fight because no one touches the bull, but alot of daredevils like to run around and wave their shirts in its face). We also climbed a huge ridge, and we were able to see about 80% of the island from it. We drove around the coast, got some BEAUTIFUL veiws of the ocean, and we played lots of video games. This week has been awesome. I wish we didn’t have to leave today, but in two hours’ time, I’ll be flying to Lizbon. My favorite part of this trip was everything. We went on a dolphin trip yesterday, but the sealife got wind of it and swam to Florida. Maybe next time I’m by the coast… It’s very serene here on the island. It’s…timeless, yet ancient, yet new and exciting. It’s very cool. I’ll let Joel pop in now.

Lasers in the Aztec

Wednesday, July 7th, 2004

Lasers, in the ancient world of the Aztecs is just a fantasy. More so robots, in that time. Aztec warriors using Plasma artillery is a ridiculous. Do you think any of this is realistic? You have laser weaponry and other weapons from over 2 milleniums later. What’s up with that?

So far…

Tuesday, July 6th, 2004

So far it’s been pretty good with the algate family here. We’ve gone down to a city on the beaches (the town name means beach) We saw a ship that was from another country, I’ll find out which. We had some ice cream and later had dinner, I had a portuguese stew, REALLY good, called alcatra. It is like beef stew, with potatoes, beef, and some other ingredients added to it. But the one thing that I don’t like about what happened sunday is, Portugal lost in the Eurocup final…{sniffle} That stinks. Otherwise, it has been fun and is still continuing from our small little island. More updates to be made.

This just in…

Jeremy here! I’m reporting from the Azores. So far, I’ve taught my cousins three card games, played about four hours of Gamecube, run around for another two hours or so, and been in several pictures. I’m having a blast. It’s very serene on the island, minus the sounds of gunshots from the games. And it’s the perfect climate! It’s been breezy nearly all the time, and it’s been in the seventies since we arrived. On the way over, I had twenty minutes of sleep, but then slept eleven hours last night. It’s nine-thirty here, so I’m turning in. Have a good time while I’m gone, not-vacationing-on-a-really-cool-island people!

Sunburned!!

Friday, July 2nd, 2004

My dad and I went to the pool Wednesday, well I didn’t really go in the pool. i sat for 2 hours in the sun, my legs had no sun lotion, and later, I was hurting. Yes my burns are still there and they still hurt. The sunburns are very red. It’s very unfortunate that I got these burns.
